Divergent

Divergence is dangerous. Deathly dangerous...but 16-year old Beatrice (aka Tris) does not know why. In a future world where people are divided into factions based on their values and personalities, friends are made and trouble brews. I enjoyed this book (mainly for the insights into society it presented) and while the writing was not particularly descriptive, it drew me in and kept me reading. It has something for everyone - action and characters, suspense and mystery.
