- trip to the movie theater:
- movie: Divergent (PG-13)
- biggest deterent will be the pricing. The Friends Group is not sure there will be enough money for summer programs so this may not be a go this year.
- fundraiser volunteers
- at McDonald's planned for Mon., Apr 14 4-7
- need participants, kids to hand out flyers in the parking lot, help with activities, etc.

- idea is to put on a small play to be put on the children's program schedule (for kids ages 2-7)
- looking at the fall (can't do early as we need time to prepare)
- looking at set design, costume design, rehearsals, etc

- summer theme: science
- combination puppet and live action play
- remember that it needs to be a short 2 min ad
- possible script idea: a confused mad scientist who goes to the library to get some help

- this is still in the works
- it will happen as soon as the library carpet is laid
- plan to have seating area, computer area and of course all the ya materials will be moved to the new section. Which will be located closer to the children's room - not in the children's room (where the music cds are currently located)
- Reason for moving it closer to kids - the youth services librarian will be better able to help both age groups (which is part of her job) if the sections are closer together. Plus YA will not be neglected having it closer to its supervising librarian.

- again this comes down to funding. We could do this as a group with each paying their own way.
